Maia's Toy

I have learnt that my toy is a pushing toy. The character is not there because I forgot about the little bear on it. I think it came from China like the other toys.

This is me

My name is Maia and I was born  at Lady’s hospital in Auckland.   I am a Kiwi and my mum and dad are from the Cook Islands.

I have 2 brothers and 4 sisters and I am the youngest person in my family. I am 10 yrs old and my birthday is on January the 4th.  

I like to eat hamburgers at Carl Junior’s and have ice cream cake. My favourite colour is purple and blue because the sea is blue and purple is just an awesome colour. My sports I like to play are  are netball, swimming, rippa rugby and soccer.  I like sports because it makes me fit and it’s fun. I like to learn about art, maths and topic too.   At school I am always in the second group but I like school because I like to learn and do the fun stuff that the teachers organise for us.  At the end of the year we always get presents and something nice to eat. The best thing about being in school is being on the school patrols and taking part in inter-school sports.

Netbooks Reflection 2012

We had our Net books ever since July 2012. I love my Net book because it is my own mini computer. We only have our computers for two terms.

We learnt heaps of things. We commented on and we made our own blog. Two month's ago our topic was based on the Olympics. We could search online for some information. Sometimes when its raining at lunch or morning tea we can go on anything even, YouTube. We have learnt to create and share. We can make a new sideshows and movies. We can go on shared reading online.

 Every month we have to pay $15. Then in three years it is all mine.There is only one thing I want is my Netbook for every single day night and well for ever.


When we didn't have our Netbooks we had to write in our writing books. I'm glad I have an Netbook.

The Amazing zoo

ONE DAY TWO BEST FRIENDS CALLED MELISSA THE STRONG AND MAIA THE STRONGEST WENT OFF TO SEE SOME ANIMALS. WE WERE SCIENTISTS WHO STUDY ANIMALS.  

THE FIRST ANIMAL THAT WE WENT TO SEE WAS THE GIRAFFE. BUT WHEN WE LOOKED AT HIM OR HER WE SAW IT POOING ALL OVER THE ZOOKEEPER. THE ZOOKEEPER SCREAMED. IT SMELT LIKE WELL, LIKE A ZOO AS ALWAYS. WE SAW HEAPS OF CHICKS AND HENS. THEN IN CAMOUFLAGE WAS A RHINO . IT WAS GOING TO ATTACK US BUT THE DEER WAS KILLED BY IT.

THEN WE WENT TO THE LIONS. MELISSA WAS SCREAMING BECAUSE SHE SAW A CUB.  BUT  THE TIGER CUB WAS HAVING DINNER WHICH WAS THE DEAD DEER. THEN WE WENT TO THE FLAMINGO.   
THEN ONE HAD A SICKNESS CALLED CANCER. IT WAS SO SICK THAT IT STOOD UP THEN IT WAS DEAD. THE ZOOKEEPERS THREW THE ANIMALS AT US. WE GOT A PIN AND GOT SOME BLOOD EXAMPLES.

THEN WE WENT TO THE CHEATERS.

THEY WERE LAZY AND DIDN’T DO ANYTHING.
 

Letter to Mr Hendricks

Dear Mr Hendricks

In my opinion we should take our netbooks home.  As you can see every person in Room 9 wants to take their Netbooks home.

It will save the walking to the library. Plus our netbooks can be safe in our home. It seems to me that everybody wants to go on games but if a person plays on games they should not use their netbooks at home.

From my point of view, every morning in our class we love having times on our netbooks. Plus you can make your own blog at home plus we can go the internet and find pictures and more school related information.

As you can see Mr Hendricks if somebody breaks their computer they should pay at least $30 to fix it. Furthermore I should at least take it home because in september the 26 next month we can check out some of our flights.

My mum really wants my netbook at home. So plese Mr Hendricks Thank for looking at my story.

We need health food

We need healthy food

We need healthy food because it can make you think and make you grow. Secondly some food can give you diabetes like sugar snacks and lollies. Most people in New Zealand experience diabetes. Most likely Pacific Islanders.

If you want to be a healthy person you have to eat healthy food like Veggies, Fruits, Fish and other fresh foods. The people that help are the Big Loser team. Their team can help save lives. Every time I see it on the TV advertisements, some people are crying. I believe they are crying because it burns for them.

Furthermore we should always have healthy lunches because if I had diabetes I’ll lose weight fast.

Awesome healthy lunch

Yesterday we had a mean as lunch. We had to sit on the seniors table. If I sat in the juniors side my legs would be sore. There was alot of food on this piece of paper that we’re going to put in our sandwiches. Like carrot, lettuce, cucumber, bread, ham and tuna. Mr Naidoo had organised all this yummy food for us.
In my sandwich I put every filling in,  but I found that I kind of didn't like the tuna. After that I had another one. Then I was full. It was so delicious
